Assistant Attorney General - Policy/Chicago

The Policy Division is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Attorney General. In addition to engaging in civil and criminal litigation, the Attorney General's Office pursues several policy matters. The Policy Division focuses on Children's, Consumer, Criminal and Women's Policy Issues. The Division works on policy initiatives, legislation, taskforces, outreach and training efforts. Policy Division staff currently oversee the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Team (I-Sort) and the Illinois Youth Court Association.

Qualifications: Candidates must have excellent research and writing skills. Candidates must be licensed in Illinois at the time of application to be eligible. Previous experience in the field of public policy is preferred.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience, the salary range is $43,000 to $60,000.
