Chicago Bureau Chief - Special Litigation Public Interest
The Office of the Illinois Attorney General is seeking to fill the Bureau Chief position in its Special Litigation Bureau. The Special Litigation Bureau pursues and defends complex and challenging cases. The Bureau pursues two kinds of affirmative litigation: fraud on the state/consumers and public policy impact cases. The Bureau seeks important and high-profile matters. It strives to institute reform on an industry-wide basis. In addition to its plaintiff litigation, the Bureau occasionally defends state agencies where important principles and/or programs are involved.
The next Bureau Chief should have at least 10 years experience, be a skilled litigator, be committed to aggressively enforcing state and federal laws, and have excellent communication and management skills.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
