Health Law Attorney

Milwaukee Office, Madison Office
We are seeking an associate with three to seven years of experience as a health law attorney to join our growing, dynamic national health care practice in either of our Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin offices.  The attorney should have an understanding of health care law and should have experience in advising hospitals, physicians, health systems and other health care providers or payers on federal and state law regulatory issues affecting the health care industry.  M&A, joint venture and transactional experience is a plus.  The attorney should have one of the following: (1) a background in health care, including hospital experience; (2) an LLM in health care; (3) a masters in health administration; or (4) commensurate practical experience.  The candidate must have a strong academic record paired with the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to become a partner at this firm.

 

Intellectual Property Associate

Milwaukee Office
We are seeking an attorney with at least two years of experience in patent prosecution drafting and a background in Electrical Engineering to join the Intellectual Property team in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.   Applicants should have solid technical skills and a bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering.

Patent Agent

We are seeking a patent agent with a background in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and at least two years of patent prosecution experience.    Applicants should have solid technical skills and a bachelor’s degree and/or advanced degree.  Applicants should also be a member of the Patent Bar.  

 

School and Education Law Associate

Applicants must have strong analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills. A can-do attitude and a desire to provide excellent client service are also musts.


Tax Associate

We are seeking a tax associate with two to four years of experience to join our  Milwaukee, WI office.  A qualified attorney will have a breadth of experience in federal income tax matters and experience in transactional work.  The ideal candidate will also have private equity tax experience.   The attorney must have a strong academic record paired with the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to become a partner at this firm.

 

Tax-Exempt Organizations Partner or Associate

Quarles & Brady LLP is seeking a tax and corporate attorney with significant (at least four years) tax-exempt organization experience to join our Tax-Exempt team in our Milwaukee, Madison or Chicago office.  The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the law governing non-stock, not-for-profit corporations and charitable trusts, as well as the law involved in obtaining (and retaining) federal tax exemptions for a variety of not-for-profit organizations.  Knowledge of the various excise taxes affecting tax-exempt organizations and the taxation of unrelated business income is also essential.  Candidates should be skilled at writing persuasive briefs in contested tax matters, and in preparation of legal opinions involving tax and corporate law questions affecting tax-exempt organization.  The attorney must have a strong academic record paired with the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to become a partner at this firm.
