New clerk opening for the summer '06 - Illinois Attorney General's Office

The Child Welfare Litigation Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General has an opening for a full time and/or part-time law clerk. The Child Welfare Litigation Bureau represents the Department of Children and Family Services in complex class action litigation, administrative review actions, and other litigation as assigned.  The position is in Chicago and all applications are due by April 14, 2006. 

 

The position will be available on June 1, 2006.  Applicants should be highly motivated, first or second-year law students who are able to work full-time in the summer (40 hours a week) and a minimum of 20 hours per week (afternoons preferred) during the 2006-2007 school year. This position involves research, writing, filing in state and federal court and other general clerking duties as assigned.  Salary is competitive.

Sixth Annual Student-Alumni banquet

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's LLSA chapter is hosting the Sixth Annual Student-Alumni banquet on Saturday, March 11 from 6-9:30.  The price for person is $45.  It will cover the entree selection, dessert, and music entertainment.  The keynote speaker is Ms. Mercedes Luque-Rosales, HLAI president.  If someone will be in the area but cannot attend the banquet they are welcome to join the post-party.  The party will be held at Nargile Lounge, located on 207 W.
