ALLSTATE INSURANCE COMPANY

The position is located in Northbrook, IL.
The purpose of the department is to investigate suspected internal fraud committed against the Allstate Corporation, and provide professional advice, counsel, and recommendations to corporate and business unit officers.

The scope of this job is under the direction of the Corporate Security Manager, assisting in the implementation of Allstate's Security Policy through the investigation of issues involving the protection of corporate assets with the primary thrust of activities in the area of worker integrity.

The individual will be responsible for:
1. Completion of Corporate Security investigations, referral of evidence for consideration of criminal prosecution, and preparation of associated memoranda and reports.

The skills required are:
1. Strong working knowledge of insurance contracts and practices, multi-state employment law, elements of embezzlement/fraud, investigate techniques, interviewing principles and legal rules of evidence
2. Excellent analytical skills
3. Advanced oral and written communication skills
4. Ability to travel extensively (75%)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Minimum of two years investigative experience or other comparable/relevant experience that is no older than five years. Bilingual in Spanish and English.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY
General PC and network computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION
Juris Doctorate preferred. Four-year college degree required; criminal justice or psychology major preferred.
