Assistant Director of Career Services

The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois, seeks a full-time professional to join its Career Services Office as an Assistant Director. The Assistant Director will counsel students (J.D., LL.M. and M.S.) and alumni about careers and the job search process. The Assistant Director will assess student and alumni skills and interests, educate them about the job market, critique resumes and cover letters, conduct mock interviews, and provide individualized career guidance.

The Assistant Director will help conduct outreach to employers in the private and public sectors through correspondence, telephone calls, meetings, and attendance at alumni functions, job fairs, and conferences. In addition, the Assistant Director will assist with program and event planning, job fairs, and employment data collection and analysis.

Qualifications: J.D. or M.A. degree in student development or counseling required; prior legal experience preferred. Prior counseling or recruiting background and/or experience working with law students desired. True passion for working with law students and counseling required.
