Attorney Positions

The City of Chicago Law Department:
Commercial and Policy Litigation Division, has an available position for an attorney with 3-5 years of experience in construction litigation to handle mechanics liens. Strong drafting, research, negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills are a must. Litigation experience is a plus. Qualified candidates must possess a J.D. degree, along with admission to the Illinois Bar. Regulatory & Aviation Litigation Division, has an available supervisory position for an attorney with 10 or more years of experience in construction and commercial litigation. Knowledge of municipal procurement law will be considered a plus. Must be able to manage junior attorneys as well as support staff and outside counsel. Strong communications, research and writing skills required.

Qualified candidates must possess a J.D. degree, along with admission to the Illinois Bar. Employment Litigation Division, has an available position for an attorney with 5 years of experience in all aspects of employment litigation. Must have Federal jury or bench trial experience. Candidate would work on all Division matters, including Title VII, ADA, Due Process/ Equal Protection claims, ADEA, as well as other claims of discrimination. Understanding of FLSA and client counseling a plus, but not required. Strong drafting, research, negotiation, interpersonal and communications skills are a must. Qualified candidates must possess a J.D. degree, along with admission to the Illinois Bar and the Federal trial bar.
